Xbox To Xbe Iso So IThe trouble I am having is I cant figure out how to capture the xiso so I can extract the default.xbe file.I dont have an Xbox (hence the reason Im trying to use the emulator) so I cant get it using the ftp method.I have spent hours searching and trying to figure this out but I decided to go to the pros for some help and advice. I have the original Turok Evolution cd for the Xbox so hopefully this can be done without the Xbox. I believe the drives that work are the Samsung 616 F or T and some LG drive. The reason you cant read the disk is because your computer drive is physically unable to. The Xbox reads from the outside in instead of inside to out like a PC IIRC. I have only tried it from the HP drive so Ill try it from the LG drive. The HP drive will see the cd and when I use XisoManager it shows the following files: VIDEOTS.IFO VIDEOTS.VOB VIDEOTS.BUP VTS010.IFO VTS011.VOB VTS010.BUP My LG drive doesnt see a cd but when I go into XisoManager it says filename: (it just shows a box) Filesize: 1556880 Attribte: 0x6d06bc but when I go to create the xiso it just says foler not found. Microsoft did this to keep people from pirating and copyright protection. ![]() Xbox To Xbe Download What YouBut, if you download what you are trying to rip I believe that is legal since you legally purchased a copy of the game. I know when Nintendo tried to go after ROM users, that is what the court settlement was. ![]() Based on what Ive read, you need to have a certain DVD-Rom drive that is compatible with the firmware that comes on the Xbox DVD-Rom drive. Xbox To Xbe Code And ThenTo be able to write a firmware it would take a lot of time just to learn the code and then to understand how the drive works and how you want it to work. The firmware is a bit difficult to find these days, but if you look hard enough, youll find it. After you flash the drive, use MagicISO to read the disc and then copyextract as normal. If you have a junk DVD drive that you can spare for this (external DVD drive recommended) then you can take the top cover off of it, insert a large disc (4GB preffered) and let the DVD drive read it until it stops spinning. After that, you can swap your disc (but dont eject the DVD) and then use an ISO creation program to make an ISO.
